Over 20 years, housing in the capital has risen 75 times
From the beginning of the 90s of the last century to the present day, the average price of housing in Moscow has grown more than 75 times — from 5 to 390 thousand dollars.
According to experts, the first tenders for the sale of housing in the capital were held in 1991. In turn, the mass housing market became due to the privatization of housing, which began in 1992. Until the early 1990s, cooperative apartments that were purchased as part of an experimental paid privatization accounted for about 2-3% of the total market volume.
The study says that since the start of the first housing auctions, the cost and demand, as well as the number of transactions with housing in the capital, has steadily increased (except during the crisis periods).
