Representatives of the State Unitary Enterprise «St. Petersburg Metro», as well as JSC «Metrostroy» apologized to the residents of Maly Prospekt in St. Petersburg for narrowing the pedestrian sidewalks to unimaginably small sizes. The residents of Vasilievsky Island were promised that the sidewalks would be widened again in 2 weeks. It should be noted that on the section from lines 6 and 7 of Vasilyevsky Island to the Makarov embankment, where the repair was carried out, the width of the sidewalks was 2 meters, after the repair it began to be less than a meter, and in some places only thirty centimeters. Residents of the district were forced to turn to the owners of local shops and offices, who were located on this site, with a request to close the doors so that people could move along the avenue. Currently, residents are forced to move along the avenue in the flow of vehicles.
