AquiliAlberg presented their design for the new Jewish Memorial in Frankfurt, Germany, inspired by the work of British author Zygmunt Baumann. The project consists of a path where tensions reach very high levels, a memorial that marks the point where more than 10,000 Jews were captured and later transported to concentration camps. Two sculptural configurations rest in a mirrored pond that extends towards the old Market Square. The sculptures are transformed into elongated configurations that delineate a pedestrian path with the placement of viewing areas and gardens — a deep place for reflection.
